Welcome to the Nyarafolo Page
Imagine yourself born into a different world: you own no books. You have never heard or read the Bible in your language. One day the Word is read to you for the first time. You feel drawn to the amazing message that God is not far-off and disinterested . . .

This is the reality for many Nyarafolo people in north-central Côte d’Ivoire who are among one of the least-evangelized people groups in the world:
  • Just one person in every two hundred is an evangelical Christian (that’s .5% of the population)

  • Although many have embraced Islam (about 30%) and Catholicism (about 30%), both of these groups are characterized by widespread syncretistic practice of traditional animist beliefs.

  • Unt1990's, the Nyarafolo language had not been written down – there were no books and no Bible in Nyarafolo!
But how can they call on him to save them unless they believe in him? And how can they believe in him if they have never heard about him? And how can they hear about him unless someone tells them? (Romans 10:14 NLT)

The Nyarafolo Translation Team is working hard to get out the Word!
These Nyarafolo believers, partnering with WorldVenture missionaries Glenn and Linnea Boese, are passionate about providing:
  • the Bible in Nyarafolo (in written and audio forms)

  • the opportunity for Nyarafolos to read and write their own language

  • literature to read

  • support for the church planting and development in the region

  • We invite you to get to know us and to keep up with what’s happening!
