On Saturday, May 20, we attended an all-night evangelism event in a village about 15 miles out in the bush. Music played a central part with the balaphones accompanying the Nyarafolo Christian songs. The Nyarafolo team from Tiepogovogo and Ferke also gave a message, testimonies and showed the Jesus film.

For a Nyarafolo, praising God has to be done with movement and dancing in a circle. Young and old participated with the babies on the backs of their mothers - learning at a very early age the rhythm of the music.

Sunday school for the kids in Tiepogovogo. Today, May 14, was just their second week. The kids range from 4 years to 12 or so and learn Nyarafolo songs and Bible stories. We will be helping with pictures and other things to help with the teaching. Fuhoton trained the teachers.

This is a photo of all the partcipants at a Senoufo Conference that was held in Sikasso, Mali, from May 1 - 5. Our Nyarafolo team was one of seven teams working in linguistics, Bible translation, and literacy among the Senoufo peoles. There are at least 18 different Senoufo languages spread over Northern Ivory Coast, Southern Mali, Southwestern Burkina Fasso and Northwestern Ghana and they make up a population of more then 3 million. Most of the Senoufo are unreached.
